Module B2

چکیده
In this module we present an overview of an electrical power system. The electrical power system is a network of interconnected components which generate electricity by converting different forms of energy, (thermal, hydro, and nuclear are the most common forms of energy converted) to electrical energy; and transmit the electrical energy to load centers to be used by the consumer. The system consists of three main subsystems: the generation subsystem, the transmission subsystem, and the distribution subsystem. Figure B2.1, depicts the typical composition of an electrical power system. Electricity is generated at the generating station. by converting a primary source of energy to electrical energy. The output of the generators is then stepped-up to appropriate transmission levels using a stepup transformer. The transmission subsystem then transmits the power close to the load centers. The power is then stepped-down to appropriate levels. The distribution subsystem then transmits the power close to the customer where it is stepped-down to appropriate levels for use by a residential, industrial, or commercial customer. For a more detailed description of the various aspects of electrical energy, and the various subsystems, the reader is referred to [1-5]. We will provide a brief description of each subsystem, review a few fundamentals of steady-state sinusoidal analysis and three-phase circuits, and provide some fundamental concepts dealing with the representation and analysis of power systems.

Vector-Valued Polynomials and a Matrix Weight Function with B2-Action. II
This is a sequel to [SIGMA 9 (2013), 007, 23 pages], in which there is a construction of a 2 × 2 positive-definite matrix function K(x) on R. The entries of K(x) are expressed in terms of hypergeometric functions. This matrix is used in the formula for a Gaussian inner product related to the standard module of the rational Cherednik algebra for the group W (B2) (symmetry group of the square) as...

We compute liftings of the Nichols algebra of a Yetter-Drinfeld module of Cartan type B2 subject to the small restriction that the diagonal elements of the braiding matrix are primitive nth roots of 1 with odd n 6= 5. As well, we compute the liftings of a Nichols algebra of Cartan type A2 if the diagonal elements of the braiding matrix are cube roots of 1; this case was not completely covered i...

To solve globally bounded order 3 linear differential equations with rational function coefficients, this thesis introduces a partial 3F2-solver (Section 3.2) and F1-solver (Chapter 4) where 3F2 is the hypergeometric function 3F2(a1, a2, a3; b1, b2 |x) and F1 is the Appell’s F1(a, b1, b2, c |x, y). To investigate the relations among order 3 multivariate hypergeometric functions, this thesis pre...
متن کاملMultimodular penicillin-binding proteins: an enigmatic family of orthologs and paralogs.
The monofunctional penicillin-binding DD-peptidases and penicillin-hydrolyzing serine beta-lactamases diverged from a common ancestor by the acquisition of structural changes in the polypeptide chain while retaining the same folding, three-motif amino acid sequence signature, serine-assisted catalytic mechanism, and active-site topology. Fusion events gave rise to multimodular penicillin-bindin...
متن کاملTensor Products of Modules
The notion of a tensor product of topological groups and modules is important in theory of topological groups, algebraic number theory. The tensor product of compact zero-dimensional modules over a pseudocompact algebra was introduced in [B] and for the commutative case in [GD], [L]. The notion of a tensor product of abelian groups was introduced in [H]. The tensor product of modules over commu...
متن کاملSpecies-specific pharmacology of maximakinin, an amphibian homologue of bradykinin: putative prodrug activity at the human B2 receptor and peptidase resistance in rats
Maximakinin (MK), an amphibian peptide possessing the C-terminal sequence of bradykinin (BK), is a BK B2 receptor (B2R) agonist eliciting prolonged signaling. We reinvestigated this 19-mer for species-specific pharmacologic profile, in vivo confirmation of resistance to inactivation by angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE), value as a module for the design of fusion proteins that bind to the B2R ...
